CHROME PLATING

CHROME PLATING: A Steel Vest for Your Cylinders | Longer Life, Higher Tonnage Prints

After all those delicate processes, it's time to protect the masterpiece. The fine workmanship on the engraved cylinder is the most vulnerable part to wear during printing. This is where CHROME PLATING comes in and puts a kind of armor on your cylinder. In our modern plating line, we coat the surface of your engraved cylinders with an ultra-durable layer of chrome against abrasion. This final touch protects the delicate tram (cell) structure and ensures that your cylinder stays like new for millions of prints. The result? Longer-lasting cylinders and higher tonnage, trouble-free print jobs that you can take on with your eyes closed.

Outstanding Features:

  • A Steel Shield for Gravure Cells: Chrome plating protects the delicate ink cells opened by gravure from wear during printing. This is the insurance of the job.
  • Use for Years, Not Throw Away: The durability provided by chrome increases the life of your cylinders many times over. Your investment doesn't go to waste.
  •  Doesn't Break or Scratch: The chrome plating we use has optimal hardness. This makes it both resistant to wear and not brittle.
  • Equal Everywhere, Quality Print: The coating, which is spread homogeneously over the entire surface of the cylinder, ensures color and tone consistency throughout the print.
  • Fast Process, Fast Delivery: Thanks to our high-speed plating line, your cylinders don't wait, and you get back to your work as soon as possible.

Things to Consider:

  • The Icing on the Cake: Chrome plating is the last step after all other processes are complete. The cylinder must be flawless before this stage.
  • Armored but Not Unbreakable: Although chrome plating adds incredible durability to the cylinder, it is sensitive to hard impacts or drops. It should be used carefully.
  • Proper Cleaning is Important: Choosing chemicals and methods that won't damage the chrome when cleaning the cylinders will extend the life of the plating.
  • Don't Throw It Away When It's Old, Bring It to Us to Renew: The chrome layer that wears out over time can be removed and the cylinder can be re-plated with chrome. So don't give up when your cylinder's life is over.
